Pashinyan congratulates Georgian counterpart on Independence Day

Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan has congratulated his Georgian counterpart Irakli Kobakhidze on the occasion of Independence Day.

“I wholeheartedly congratulate you and the brotherly people of Georgia on the occasion of the Georgian national holiday, the Day of Restoration of State Independence,” Pashinyan said in a letter addressed to Kobakhidze published by his office.

“Developing relations with Georgia is among the Armenian foreign policy priorities. The successes recorded in the most various areas of the Armenian-Georgian relations over the course of the past few years are the results of mutual commitment and continuous joint efforts on the highest and interdepartmental levels, which resulted in elevating the bilateral relationship to a qualitatively new, strategic partnership level. We highly appreciate friendly Georgia’s support for the Armenian government’s Crossroads of Peace project aimed at promoting connectivity and partnership between regional countries, as well as the steps taken by Georgia for the benefit of the Armenia-Azerbaijan normalization process. I once again congratulate you on Independence Day, wishing you and your country welfare, peace and new achievements.”
