Armenian, Emirati foreign ministers discuss expansion of partnership

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan has held a phone conversation with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The FMs discussed steps taken to strengthen high-level political dialogue and expand bilateral partnership, the Armenian foreign ministry said in a readout.

“Minister Mirzoyan emphasized the significant potential for developing cooperation between Armenia and the UAE and presented Armenia’s vision for its realization. Upcoming programs were touched upon. The foreign ministers of Armenia and the UAE discussed the process of normalization between Armenia and Azerbaijan. In this context, Minister Mirzoyan presented recent developments, highlighting the importance of signing the Peace Treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan in the context of establishing regional peace,” the ministry said.
