Speaker Simonyan visits “ALZHIR” Memorial Complex of victims of political repression and totalitarianism

Within the framework of his official visit to Kazakhstan, Armenian Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan visited the “ALZHIR” Memorial Complex of the Victims of Political Repression and Totalitarianism, where he paid tribute to the memory of women exiled to camps during the repressions of 1930-1950, the Parliament's office has said in a readout.

According to the Museum data, about 80 Armenian women were among those imprisoned. Speaker Simonyan also laid flowers at the monument dedicated to the memory of Armenian women.

 Simonyan left a note in the Memory Book for Honorary Guests of the Museum.
