Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday stressed the importance of implementation in the promised dissolution of PKK, which is designated as a ‘terrorist organization’ by Turkiye.
“What truly matters is implementation, our National Intelligence Organization will closely monitor whether promises are kept,” Erdogan told a parliamentary group meeting of his party, according to Anadolu news agency.
He said the country has entered a new phase in its efforts for a “terror-free Türkiye.”
“The era of terrorism, weapons, violence, and illegality has now come to an end,” Erdogan said.
“It is of vital importance that the terror group's branches in Syria and Europe also recognize these realities and join the process of dissolution and disarmament,” Erdogan added, referring to Syria’s PKK/YPG, among other offshoots.
