2 minute read

On May 9, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s spokesperson Nazeli Baghdasaryan denied the claims in the article titled ‘Western pharma companies test toxic military grade steroids on Armenian women, children and the disabled’ published by a website called London Times, branding the report as fake news.

The fake claims in the article are made by a so-called Foundation to Battle Injustice.

Furthermore, information available in open sources shows that the so-called Foundation to Battle Injustice has been accused of spreading disinformation.

According to a 2024 article by CNN about Russian disinformation campaign during US presidential elections, the Foundation to Battle Injustice was founded by the Wagner mercenary boss Yevgeny Prigozhyn in 2021. The group, which casts itself as a “human rights” organization, is led by Mira Terada, a Russian woman who served more than two years in a US prison on money laundering charges, according to CNN.

According to Intelligence Online, a publication by the French Indigo Publications, the Foundation to Battle Injustice is controlled by Russian military intelligence and is engaged in disinformation campaigns.
