PM’s Chief of Staff Arayik Harutyunyan attends opening of 60th EKF Senior Karate Championships

Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Arayik Harutyunyan attended the opening ceremony of the 60th European Senior Karate Championship, held on May 8 at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex in Yerevan.
According to a readout issued by the Prime Minister’s Staff, the event was also attended by Armenia’s Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Zhanna Andreasyan, President of the World and European Karate Federation, Antonio Espinós, Secretary General of the European Karate Federation, Davor Cipek, as well as high-ranking officials, distinguished guests from various countries, representatives of the karate community, and sports fans.
The European Senior Karate Championship is taking place from May 8 to 11 at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex, with around 1,000 athletes from 54 countries participating.
Yerevan is also scheduled to host the 2027 European Junior and Youth Karate Championship.
