Turkey, US agree to contribute to the peace process in Ukraine

Turkey and the United States have agreed to make joint efforts around the negotiation process on Ukraine following the leaders' talks, the Turkish presidential administration told RIA Novosti on Tuesday.

On Monday, the Turkish president's office said that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had discussed the situation in Ukraine during a phone conversation with US President Donald Trump.

"President Erdogan attaches great importance to the resolution of the conflict between Turkey's two important, close neighbors,'' reads the statement.
