Former director of food safety agency arrested

Former Director of the Food Safety Inspection Agency Armen Danielyan has been arrested on suspicion of embezzlement, authorities announced Monday.

The Anti-Corruption Committee said Danielyan, who was fired by Prime Minister Pashinyan on April 30, is facing criminal charges of grand theft committed through abuse of power.
