Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan has met with a delegation of more than ten French businessmen who have arrived from Lyon.

The French businessmen expressed interest in investing in Armenia and establishing mutually-beneficial partnership, the ministry said in a readout.

Minister Papoyan presented the investment policy in Armenia, the legislative framework contributing to investments and the tools supporting businesses.

Papoyan said Armenia is diversifying its economy and developing several strategic sectors.

“Encouraging foreign investments is among our priorities, to form a maximally favorable, flexible, predictable business environment. We are interested in close cooperation, especially with French colleagues, and we are ready to discuss possibilities for implementing investment projects of mutual interest,” the minister said.

The visit of the French delegation is organized by the Armenian-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFA).
