‘Armenia values its relations with Canada,’ PM Pashinyan congratulates Carney

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has congratulated Canadian PM Mark Carney and his Liberal Party on the victory in the federal elections.
“Warmly congratulate Mark Carney and the Liberal Party on the victory in the Federal Elections in Canada. Armenia values its relations with Canada that are hinged on friendship & shared values. We look forward to further strengthening and deepening our mutually beneficial cooperation,” PM Pashinyan said in a post on X.
With nearly all votes counted, the Liberals won 169 seats in the 343-member House of Commons of Canada, falling just short of a majority. The main opposition Conservative Party, led by Pierre Poilievre, won 144 seats.
