Pashinyan sees possibility of signing joint application with Azerbaijan to dissolve OSCE Minsk Group structures

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan believes it is possible to sign with Azerbaijan the Peace Agreement and the joint application to the OSCE for the dissolution of the Minsk Group structures simultaneously.

Pashinyan made the announcement at a press conference held on April 28 as part of his official visit to Estonia.

"Today, during discussions with Prime Minister of Estonia Kristen Michal, both in a bilateral and expanded format, we addressed the latest geopolitical and regional developments.

In this regard, I would like to emphasize Armenia’s firm commitment to achieving sustainable peace in our region. We are determined to take our share of responsibility, to undertake the necessary steps along this path, and to resolve existing issues with our neighbors through constructive dialogue and negotiations.

In this context, I presented the latest developments concerning the peace process in the South Caucasus and reiterated our expectation that Armenia’s peace agenda will ultimately yield tangible results," he stressed.

Pashinyan thanked Kristen Michal for welcoming the final agreement on the text of the Agreement on Peace and Interstate Relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

"I have reaffirmed my readiness to sign the already agreed text, also noting that I consider it possible to sign with Azerbaijan the Peace Agreement and the joint application to the OSCE for the dissolution of the Minsk Group structures simultaneously," the Armenian Prime Minister emphasized.
