It is supreme national obligation to restore historical truth: Greek President on the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide

The President of the Republic of Greece, Konstantinos Tasoulas, has made a statement on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

According to the Armenian Embassy in Greece, the President stated: “On today’s 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, we remember and honor the memory of one and a half million innocent victims.”

“It is a supreme national obligation both to the memory of these people and to our human conscience not only to restore historical truth, but also to remain constantly vigilant in order to prevent such horrific crimes in the future. Crimes from which, like the Armenians, the Greek world has also suffered, as well as any act that incites discrimination, intolerance, or violence, whether in word or deed.

The only path for humanity is the path of peace, coexistence, and justice.”
