The Cabinet approved a decision to send more humanitarian aid to Syria.
The government will allocate 49 million drams to organize the aid for the people of Syria who have appeared in a difficult socio-economic condition.
The aid will include food and medicine (25,9 million drams in medication and 23,1 million drams in food).
The aid will be directed for the protection of fundamental human rights through ensuring the safety of health and life, the government said in the decision. The ongoing developments in Syria have deprived many people of vital means, it added.
Armenia earlier sent aid to Syria on March 20, when the border with Turkiye was temporarily opened to allow the convoy to pass.
