Armenian weightlifter, Olympic silver medalist, and reigning world and European champion Varazdat Lalayan has once again claimed the top spot at the European Weightlifting Championships.
At the championship held in Moldova, Lalayan competed in the men’s super heavyweight category. He snatched 200 kg and then 210 kg, securing first place in that discipline. In the clean and jerk, he lifted 240 kg, again taking first in the discipline.
With a combined total of 450 kg, Varazdat Lalayan is now a two-time European champion.
