Armenian weightlifter Gor Sahakyan wins silver — 2025 European Championships

Armenian weightlifter and two-time European champion Gor Sahakyan (73 kg) claimed the silver medal at the 2025 European Weightlifting Championships held in Moldova.

In the snatch, Sahakyan had two successful lifts of 150 kg and 153 kg, earning him the bronze medal in the exercise.

In the clean and jerk, he also secured two successful attempts, lifting 185 kg and once again taking the third place.

With a total of 338 kg, Gor Sahakyan secured the silver medal overall at the European Championships.

Earlier, Armenian women’s team member Alexandra Grigoryan also won silver, while Garnik Cholakyan from the men’s team earned a bronze medal.
