The situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border is relatively stable, the Deputy Minister of Defense of Armenia Arman Sargsyan told reporters on Monday.
“At this moment the situation on the frontline is relatively stable. The gunshots which happen sometimes from the adversary’s side are untargeted gunshots,” he said, adding that such gunshots happen infrequently.
He said there was no Azeri military buildup on the border. The Armenian military would take security measures in case of such buildup, he added.
Sargsyan said the Armenian military was duly fulfilling its objective.
“The primary objective is to ensure security, and I’d like to repeat that at this moment the situation on the frontline is relatively stable, and we will immediately release information in case of any problem arising,” the deputy defense minister said.
