Gyumri election winners receive mandates

Electoral authorities have distributed the mandates to newly elected members of the Gyumri City Council after the snap election. 

Civil Contract party receives 14 mandates, Communist Party of Armenia receives 8 mandates, Our City bloc receives 6 mandates, My Strong Community party receives 3 mandates, while Mother Armenia bloc receives 2 mandates.

Electoral officials said that Martun Grigoryan, the mayoral candidate of Our City bloc, as well as Susanna Mkrtchyan from the My Strong Community party have recused themselves. 

The new city council of Gyumri is expected to elect a mayor during its upcoming inaugural session.
