Armenian, Danish parliamentarians discuss bilateral relations and regional issues

The delegation headed by Deputy Speaker Hakob Arshakyan held a meeting with the head of the Danish delegation, Søren Søndergaard.
The meeting focused on the continuous development of Armenia-Denmark relations, interparliamentary cooperation, regional security, as well as political and economic issues.
The Deputy Speaker emphasized the importance of expanding Armenia-EU cooperation.
According to the source, Arshakyan addressed the draft agreement "On the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan" and expressed gratitude to the Danish side for its consistent support in establishing peace.
Søndergaard stated that he supports Armenia’s efforts to sign the peace agreement and establish peace, expressing confidence in their significance. He underscored the need to take concrete steps toward achieving peace.
It is noted that in the context of diversifying Armenia’s economy and expanding relations with the EU, Deputy Speaker Arshakyan emphasized the importance of the visa liberalization process with the EU.
The Danish side expressed its readiness to provide support to the Armenian side in all the areas discussed during the meeting.
The Armenian delegation includes Chair of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs Tsovinar Vardanyan, Chair of the Standing Committee on Healthcare Arsen Torosyan, and NA Chief of Staff, Secretary General Davit Arakelyan.
