Armenian, Indonesian parliamentarians discuss economic cooperation

The Vice President of the Armenian National Assembly Hakob Arshakyan met with Indonesian legislator Ravindra Airlangga, member of the Indonesian delegation to the 150th IPU Assembly in Uzbekistan. 

Arshakyan expressed satisfaction with the ongoing cooperation since the establishment of diplomatic relations and stressed the maintenance of a high level of political dialogue, including through mutual visits between Armenia and Indonesia, the parliament’s press service said

Both sides highlighted the ongoing important steps in expanding the parliamentary cooperation in the political, economic, technological and other spheres.

Hakob Arshakyan underscored Armenia’s commitment to expanding ties with ASEAN countries and expressed gratitude for Indonesia’s support in obtaining observer status at the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly.

The deputy speaker presented the latest developments in the peace process with Azerbaijan.

Ravindra Airlangga highlighted the fact that all terms of the peace agreement have been agreed upon, expressing support for the quick signing of the document.

The interlocutors underlined the potential of the further economic cooperation between the two countries, as well as the perspectives of boosting the collaboration in the spheres of information technologies and higher education.
