During his visit to Abu Dhabi, President Vahagn Khachaturyan met with UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Mohamed Al Mazroue and Etihad Rail CEO Shadi Malak.
Etihad Rail manages the development, construction and operation of the UAE’s national freight and passenger railway network.
During the meeting the President discussed with the Emirati minister and the Etihad Rail CEO the prospects for implementing various investment projects in areas of mutual interest for both countries, the president’s office said in a readout.
They especially emphasized the importance of utilizing the potential for cooperation in infrastructures, energy and high technologies. Both sides lauded the stable partnership between Armenia and the UAE and the constantly developing close cooperation, stressing the positive dynamics in the development of bilateral ties.
Views were exchanged about the implementation of the Armenian government’s Crossroads of Peace project.
The need for strengthening ties between business communities of both countries for intensifying economic relations was underscored.
The sides agreed to make joint efforts to improve the investment climate, noting that the process is important for economic development of both countries.
