Armenian Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, during his visit to France, on Friday met with Emmanuel Chiva, the Chief executive of the French Defense Procurement Agency (DGA).

The DGA (Direction générale de l’armement) is the French government’s defence procurement and technology agency, responsible within the Ministry of Armed Forces for project management, development, and purchase of weapon systems for the French military.

The Armenian minister and the French official discussed “prospects for developing military-industrial cooperation between Armenia and France, opportunities for initiating technological exchange programs, matters pertaining to the development of defense technologies in Armenia and other topics,” the Ministry of High-Tech industry said in a readout.

Hayrapetyan’s first deputy Gevorg Mantashyan, the Chairman of the Military-Industrial Committee Aram Jivanyan and Armenian Ambassador to France Arman Khachatryan also participated in the meeting.
