French, Turkish FMs discuss Armenia-Azerbaijan normalization

French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot has met in Paris with visiting Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. During the meeting the FMs discussed the Armenia-Azerbaijan normalization, among other items.
The Turkish foreign ministry said in a readout on X that the ministers discussed, among other issues, the steps aimed at establishing peace and stability in the South Caucasus.
Other bilateral and regional issues were also discussed.
The French Foreign Ministry, in its readout, said that “regarding the Caucasus, the ministers stressed that the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, while respecting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of both states, should enable the South Caucasus to become an area of peace, integration and cooperation.”
