Armenian Ambassador, Uruguay’s Vice President discuss strengthening ties, efforts for peace in South Caucasus

Armenian Ambassador to Uruguay Mariam Gevorgyan has met with Carolina Cosse, the country’s Vice President and President of the General Assembly and Senate.
Ambassador Gevorgyan congratulated Uruguay’s Vice President on assuming office and wished her good luck.
They discussed the possibilities of strengthening the friendly ties and parliamentary cooperation between Armenia and Uruguay and attached importance to the role of the Uruguayan-Armenian community, the embassy said in a readout.
Ambassador Gevorgyan also presented to the Vice President the consistent efforts of Armenia in the direction of establishing peace and stability in the South Caucasus region, the embassy added.
