Moscow welcomes the progress made in the peace process between Yerevan and Baku, particularly the completion of negotiations on the text of the agreement, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said during a weekly press conference on March 20.
Zakharova emphasized that the progress marks a significant step toward long-awaited security and development in the South Caucasus.
"The peace agenda includes several important issues that require resolution, such as the unblocking of transport and economic ties in the region, border delimitation, and the humanitarian bloc. We also reaffirm our readiness to support our partners in all areas," Zakharova said, adding that the Special Representative of the Russian Foreign Minister, Igor Khovayev, is ready to visit the region for consultations.
