21800 forcibly displaced persons of Nagorno-Karabakh have found employment in Armenia as of December 31, 2024, according to a senior government official.
Anna Zhamkochyan, the Deputy minister of Labor and Social Affairs, told lawmakers at a committee hearing that as of 2024 yearend 21800 of the forcibly displaced persons were employed, while over 4600 were registered as self-employed or founders of companies.
The authorities have launched a special employment program for the forcibly displaced Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh.
More than 100,000 forcibly displaced Nagorno-Karabakh Armenians fled to Armenia during the 2023 Azeri offensive.
