Bahrain has welcomed the conclusion of the peace treaty negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
“The Kingdom of Bahrain welcomes the successful diplomatic negotiations in reaching a peace agreement between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia, wishing that it will contribute to strengthening cooperation between the two countries to bring prosperity and sustainable peace for their people and the people of the Caucasus region. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the Kingdom of Bahrain's firm position in support of efforts to settle regional and international disputes through dialogue and peaceful means, and to promote international solidarity for a more secure, peaceful and prosperous world,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain said in a statement.
The governments of Armenia and Azerbaijan announced on March 13 that the negotiations around the peace treaty terms have been successfully concluded. The Armenian government has expressed readiness to start discussions with Azerbaijan around the date and venue of signing the agreement.
