Trump to speak by phone with Putin on Tuesday

US President Donald Trump has announced that he expects to speak by phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday to discuss the prospects of a peace agreement in the Ukraine conflict.

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One on Sunday, the US President said he plans to speak with President Putin on March 18.

“We will see if we have something to announce maybe by Tuesday. I will be speaking to President Putin on Tuesday. A lot of work’s been done over the weekend. We want to see if we can bring that war to an end. We will be talking about land. We will be talking about power plants,” AP quoted Trump as saying.
