Saudi Arabia welcomes finalization of peace treaty negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has welcomed the conclusion of the peace treaty talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
“The Kingdom hopes the agreement will usher in a new era of stability and prosperity,” the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
The ministry “reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s support for all efforts aimed at promoting international security and stability while fostering conditions conducive to development and prosperity.”
The governments of Armenia and Azerbaijan announced on March 13 that the negotiations around the draft peace treaty have been successfully concluded. The date and location of signing the agreement are yet to be determined.
