Romania congratulates Armenia, Azerbaijan on concluding peace treaty talks

Romania has welcomed the conclusion of the Armenia-Azerbaijan negotiations around the draft peace treaty.
“Romania warmly welcomes the completion of the negotiations around the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan. We congratulate Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov for their tireless efforts and courage. Lasting peace has key importance for stability, prosperity and opening up the huge potential of the region,” the Romanian foreign ministry said in a statement.
The governments of Armenia and Azerbaijan announced on March 13 that the negotiations around the draft peace treaty have been successfully concluded. The date and location of signing the agreement are yet to be determined. Armenia said it is ready to negotiate with Azerbaijan the timeframes and venue for signing the treaty. Numerous countries have welcomed the conclusion of the talks around the text of the peace treaty.
