Armenian Foreign Ministry confirms peace agreement ready for signing

The Armenian Foreign Ministry has confirmed the statement of Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov that Armenia has agreed to Azerbaijan’s proposals on the outstanding articles of the draft peace treaty, the Armenian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia has conveyed to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry through diplomatic channels that the Republic of Armenia accepts Azerbaijan’s proposals on the two unresolved articles of the draft agreement and has proposed issuing a joint statement on the completion of negotiations on the draft agreement.

Official Baku preferred to make a unilateral statement.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia confirms the agreement on the draft of the Agreement ‘On the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan’ and the completion of negotiations on the draft.

Thus, the Peace Agreement is ready for signing. The Republic of Armenia is ready to begin consultations with the Republic of Azerbaijan on the date and place of signing the Agreement,” the statement reads.
