Deputy FM of Armenia, Latvian official discuss prospects for cooperation in several areas

On March 12, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Paruyr Hovhannisyan received a delegation led by Egita Lase, the Director of the Department of Economic Relations and Development Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia, the foreign ministry has said.

During the meeting, the sides discussed a wide range of issues on the Armenia-Latvia bilateral agenda, as well as prospects for cooperation in various areas of mutual interest. 

The parties touched upon the opportunities for deepening the Armenia-EU partnership, emphasizing Latvia’s support in this regard. Both sides highlighted interest in expanding cooperation between Armenia and the Nordic-Baltic countries (NB8).

Deputy Minister Hovhannisyan briefed the interlocutors on the “Crossroads of Peace” initiative developed by the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the latest developments in the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process.
