Peace in South Caucasus highly important for Europe – Dutch FM says in Yerevan

The Netherlands attaches great importance to the establishment of stability and peace in the South Caucasus, Foreign Minister of the Netherlands Caspar Veldkamp has said.
“It’s very important for the EU for our neighborhood to live in peace and stability. We are interested in establishment of peace and prosperity in the South Caucasus. I assured minister Mirzoyan that the Netherlands is ready to support increasing Armenia’s resilience and diversification of economy, decreasing dependency on Russia,” the Dutch FM said in Yerevan at a joint press conference with Armenian FM Ararat Mirzoyan.
He also spoke about the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace talks, stressing that constructive steps in the peace process are positively perceived in the Netherlands.
“Peace and stability in the South Caucasus are highly important for Europe and we are interested in supporting the peace process,” the Dutch FM said.
