The upper house of the Swiss parliament, the Council of States, will hold a debate on March 18 on the motion calling for an international peace forum to be organized by the Federal Council of Switzerland to discuss the safe return of Armenians to Nagorno-Karabakh.
The motion is included in the agenda published on the website of the Swiss parliament.
Back in 2024, the lower house of the Swiss parliament adopted the resolution calling on the Swiss government to organize an international peace forum on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
“The aim is to facilitate an open dialogue between Azerbaijan and representatives of the Nagorno-Karabakh Armenians, conducted under international supervision or in the presence of internationally relevant actors, in order to negotiate the safe and collective return of the historically resident Armenian population,” reads the motion.
