The operation of the Amulsar mine is beneficial both economically and socially, and it is controllable in terms of the ecologically.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the citizens of Armenia, represented by the government, have a stake in the Amulsar project.
"Yes, environmental issues have been raised. We have addressed these concerns comprehensively and provided appropriate solutions.
These solutions were deemed reliable. Additional mechanisms, including financial mechanisms, have been established.
Therefore, we believe the operation of the project is beneficial both economically and socially. It is controllable in terms of the environment and ecology and will comply with standards," Pashinyan said.
"The Amulsar project is indeed a very good project," the Prime Minister emphasized.
At its February 27 session, the government decided to provide a budget guarantee of up to $150 million to Lydian Armenia to attract a loan from Armenian banks for the development of the Amulsar gold mine.
