US and Ukraine to sign mineral deal today - Trump

The U.S. and Ukraine will sign a mineral deal today, U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters at the White House entrance.

"We will sign a mineral deal today," Trump said, standing alongside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Trump noted that the parties are also close to reaching an agreement on the settlement of the Ukraine conflict.

For his part, Zelensky said he understands Europe's stance on the situation in Ukraine but expects clarity on the U.S. position.

"I want to ask Trump what the U.S. is ready for," the Ukrainian president said.
