Newly appointed Ambassador of Armenia to Italy presents credentials to President of Italy

The newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Italy, Vladimir Karapetyan, presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Italy, Sergio Mattarella.

According to the Embassy of Armenia in Italy, during the private conversation following the official credential presentation ceremony, President Mattarella congratulated Ambassador Karapetyan on taking office and wished him success in his mission.

The President expressed hope that Ambassador Karapetyan would strengthen Armenian-Italian bilateral relations through his activities and assured him of his support.

Ambassador Karapetyan, expressing gratitude for the warm reception, conveyed to President Mattarella the warm greetings of Armenia’s President Vahagn Khachaturyan. He emphasized Armenia's strong interest in deepening cooperation with Italy in all areas of mutual interest.

During the conversation, the Ambassador informed the President of the steps taken by the Armenian government to strengthen democracy and its institutions, as well as its efforts to advance the peace process.

Both sides emphasized the need to give a new impetus to bilateral economic relations. Ambassador Karapetyan assured that during his tenure he would make every possible effort to further deepen and strengthen Armenian-Italian friendly relations and cooperation.
