PM Pashinyan delivers lecture at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has visited the Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.

He was welcomed by Professor Joel Hellman, Dean of the School of Foreign Service.

PM Pashinyan delivered a lecture which was attended by students and lecturers in the areas of political science, international relations and security.

Pashinyan spoke about the development and strengthening of democracy in Armenia, the course of ongoing reforms, the regional situation, the processes taking place around Armenia and existing challenges, as well as actions for resolving the challenges. He emphasized the Armenian government’s commitment in strengthening democracy and fighting corruption and in this context attached importance to the development of institutions and their capacity.

PM Pashinyan also spoke about the normalization with Azerbaijan and Turkiye and stressed the Armenian government’s commitment to the peace agenda. He presented the Crossroads of Peace project aimed at unblocking regional connection routes. Pashinyan then held a Q&A with students and lecturers.
