State Revenue Committee Chairman, Iran Ambassador discuss simplified customs at Armenian-Iranian border

The Chairman of the State Revenue Committee, Eduard Hakobyan, hosted a delegation led by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia, Mehdi Sobhani, the State Revenue Committee said in a statement.
During the meeting, the sides discussed various issues of mutual interest, including the modernization of border crossing infrastructure, the full implementation of an electronic data exchange system between the customs authorities of both countries, the possibility of applying simplified customs procedures at the Armenian-Iranian border, and the establishment of rapid response mechanisms for issues requiring immediate resolution.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to strengthen cooperation in these areas, considering the increase in trade volume between the two countries and joint efforts to combat border violations.
