The universal income declaration system doesn’t envisage any additional tax burden for citizens, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has said.
“This cannot anyhow bring or add any additional tax or financial burden for socially vulnerable groups, and generally for everyone, because the universal declaration system doesn’t envisage any changes to the tax legislation or changes to any tariffs,” Pashinyan said at a press conference, adding that the taxable incomes have remained unchanged.
The universal income declaration system is aimed at strengthening anti-corruption measures, identifying vulnerable groups for social support, as well as defining refunds for certain social payments.
