Armenia reaffirms commitment to peace agenda

Armenia is committed to the peace agenda, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has said.

Speaking at a joint press conference with his Georgian counterpart Maka Botchorishvili in Yerevan, Mirzoyan reminded that Armenia has already offered proposals on unblocking transport infrastructures in the context of normalization with Azerbaijan.

“You are all aware of Armenia’s Crossroads of Peace initiative that implies active economic and transport cooperation not only between the three countries of the South Caucasus, but also in the broader region and with participation of other countries. Also, within the framework of this initiative we have made a proposal regarding the unblocking of transport infrastructures as part of the normalization process with Azerbaijan. Of course, we are ready to finalize the normalization process with Azerbaijan around this project and other directions. Our government’s position remains the same, we are unwaveringly committed to the peace agenda. This relates to both the peace treaty, the unblocking of transport infrastructures and delimitation,” FM Mirzoyan said.
