Nordic-Baltic panel discussion in Yerevan covers broad range of topics, says Speaker Simonyan

Almost no topic was left untouched during the panel discussion of the Nordic-Baltic format, the Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan said at a press conference following the panel discussion with the participation of the Speakers and Vice-Speakers of the Nordic-Baltic Format parliaments held in Yerevan.

"I would like to thank you for your visit to the Republic of Armenia, which is unprecedented for our country and the region. I must say that we have great expectations from this event, and I am confident that everything we discussed here and your visit will have a positive impact on the process that Armenia has initiated to start an era of peace in our region. I must say that we discussed all possible topics with our partners, starting from prisoners of war, ending with a peace treaty, possible solutions, possible political support, and cooperation."

He added that they had reached an agreement and mutual understanding on the exchange of experience on various issues. "In particular, we are talking about issues related to the establishment of democracy, reforms, and human rights," the Speaker said.
