Armenia determined to advance EU integration process, says Speaker of Parliament

Armenia is determined to advance the EU integration process, Speaker of Parliament Alen Simonyan said during the Together for Peace and Democracy: Nordic-Baltic meets Armenia panel discussion.

“Despite all the security threats that Armenia has been facing in the past years, we are determined to advance the EU integration process and we expect that the new partnership agenda between Armenia and the EU will be signed soon,” he said.

Simonyan highlighted the launch of the visa liberalization dialogue with the EU as a very clear political message to the Armenian people.

The Speaker also emphasized the importance of the cooperation within the framework of the European Peace Facility. 

Simonyan praised the EU monitoring mission for its favorable impact on ensuring security, especially in times of hostile rhetorics.
