During a parliamentary Q&A session with Cabinet members, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan presented the reason for the agreement to continue the delimitation of the state border between Armenia and Azerbaijan from the northern part.
Artur Khachatryan, a deputy of the opposition "Armenia" faction, said that it would be logical to start the delimitation from the south. The Prime Minister said that he could not say that any of the options mentioned by the deputy were bad.
“But there is no such section of the state border of the Republic of Armenia that we would say we are not delimiting, or that we need someone else’s section of the border,” he noted.
Referring to the agreement to continue the process from the northern part, he said: “In that section, we already have several segmental delimitations. They are a guarantee of security. We want to make those sections monolithic and complete, so that they are not fragmentary.”
