President Khachaturyan, newly appointed Italian Ambassador discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation

President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan handed over credentials to the newly appointed Ambassador of Italy to Armenia  Alessandro Ferranti.

According to the Presidential Office, President Khachaturyan congratulated Ambassador Ferranti on commencing his diplomatic mission in Armenia and wished him success. The President highlighted the close historical ties and shared values that have promoted to the development of friendly relations between Armenia and Italy.

Khachaturyan noted Armenia’s commitment to deepening mutually beneficial cooperation with Italy and assured that Armenia’s leadership is ready to support the Ambassador in initiatives aimed at enhancing bilateral relations. He also emphasized the significance of decentralized and parliamentary cooperation.

The newly appointed Ambassador expressed gratitude for the warm reception, assuring that he would do the utmost to strengthen and expand Armenia-Italy relations. “I undertake my mission in your country with great enthusiasm and responsibility,” Ambassador Ferranti stated.

During the meeting, both sides stressed the importance of further strengthening ties and promoting comprehensive cooperation, particularly in the fields of economics, information technology and culture. President Khachaturyan underscored that relations with Italy are significant not only from the bilateral perspective but also within the framework of European structures.
