Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov considered his meeting with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan effective.
"I am convinced that today's exchange of opinions will help address the issues that have recently emerged in our relations, some of which have provoked somewhat inadequate reactions in the media," Lavrov said during a joint press conference on January 21, following their meeting. He added that he shared sincere views and assessments with his Armenian counterpart on these matters.
The Russian Foreign Minister emphasized the mutual interest in strengthening relations based on the fundamental and practical interests of both nations.
