China's Xi has phone call with Trump

Donald Trump has held phone talks with the Chinese President, Xi Jinping, Chinese state media reported, without providing any immediate further details.

Earlier on Friday, China’s foreign ministry  announced Xi would send Vice President Han Zheng to attend Trump's inauguration next week.

“We stand ready to work with the new US government to enhance dialogue and communication, properly manage differences, expand mutually beneficial cooperation, jointly pursue a stable, healthy and sustainable China-US relationship, and find the right way for the two countries to get along,” the ministry said.
