MEP Miriam Lexmann welcomes Armenian government's approval of bill on EU accession process

YEREVAN, JANUARY 10, ARMENPRESS. Member of the European Parliament Miriam Lexmann has welcomed the Armenian government’s decision to approve the bill on launching a process of EU accession.

“I sincerely welcome the decision of the Armenian government to launch the process of EU accession. Those who fulfill the necessary conditions and share our values must always be welcomed,” Miriam M. Lexmann said in a post on X.

On January 9, the Cabinet approved the bill on launching the process of Armenia’s accession to the EU, which was submitted for parliamentary debates by the Eurovote civic initiative after a petition.

The bill will be debated in parliament afterwards.
