YEREVAN, DECEMBER 25, ARMENPRESS. An Azerbaijan Airlines passenger plane crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan on Wednesday and initial reports suggested there were survivors, according to Azeri media reports.
The Azerbaijani Acertac news agency, citing Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), said there were 67 people including 62 passengers and 5 crew members on board the Embraer 190 aircraft, which was flying from Baku to Grozny.
According to Reuters the flight was re-routed due to bad weather in Grozny.
