Bilateral meeting between Pashinyan and Putin not planned, says Kremlin ahead of EEU summit

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 24, ARMENPRESS. No bilateral meeting is planned between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the sidelines of the EEU summit in Saint Petersburg, the Kremlin has said.

“No separate meeting is planned, but they will have the chance to speak, if necessary, on the platform,” Vedomosti quoted Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov as saying.

Armenia currently holds the rotating presidency in the EEU.

On December 26, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is expected to chair the EEU summit in Russia. The event will be attended by Putin, as well as other EEU heads of state.
