Air freight between Armenia and Russia rises by 12 percent

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 20, ARMENPRESS. As of December 15 of the current year, over 28,000 tons of cargo were transported by air between Armenia and Russia, marking a 12 percent increase compared to the same period last year, Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan said at the 23rd meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Armenia and Russia, held in Moscow on December 20.

According to the Deputy PM, approximately  2.4 million passengers were  transported by air between the two countries during the same period.

 Regarding rail passenger traffic, Grigoryan noted that during the first 10 months of 2024, the number of passengers transported by rail increased by 7 percent, totaling 480,000 people.
